Now is the best time to add in some of your longest runs as you aim for peak-load in your base training phase with bigger ‘race-like’ simulations. These occasional extra long runs or ‘Super Sundays’ should incorporate facets of your race in terms of equipment, nutrition and hydration. If you are considering a running vest/pack on race day get familiar with using it now.
