Minimum Age | Must be aged between 5 and 12 years on race day to compete. Entrants between 5 - 9 years may be accompanied by one adult on course. Accompanying adults are free of charge, but MUST register for the event HERE |
Cut-off Time | Due to course management and road closure restrictions, the course will officially be closed at 4:00pm. |

Prizes | All Kids Run finishers receive a medal. Non-monetary prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd placing in each age group category for boys and girls, and will be based on participant's mat time. |
Walkers | Walkers are welcome to enter in the Kids Run. Please ensure walkers start at the back behind the runners and keep to the left at all times. |

Course maps
Course description
The kids start by the Queenstown Gardens Rotunda, run through the Gardens, veer left and follow the 4wd road through the woodlands to link on to the Marathon Course.
Continue on the track around the Queenstown Gardens in a clockwise direction. Then on to Marine Parade, into Rees Street, up Duke Street and to the finish area in Queenstown Recreation Ground.
Kids marathon training plans
Kids aged 5-12 can run a marathon!
Over 8, 10 or 12 weeks kids will run 40km, then on Saturday 16 November they'll complete the final 2.2km in front of friends and family, finishing under the main New Zealand Sotheby's International Realty Queenstown Marathon Presented by ASICS finish gantry on the Recreation Ground.
