FAQS

If a distance is sold out, is there a waiting list?

Check out our Facebook page for anyone needing to transfer out of the event - New Zealand Sotheby's International Realty Queenstown Marathon - Entry Transfers. We do not have a waiting list so this will be your only way to enter.

Can I get a refund or deferral?

Full details on our Refund & Transfer policy can be found here. Alternatively, you may be able to transfer your entry to someone else. Unfortunately, we do not have a deferral system for this event.

Important: Please do not ask for an exception. Our refund and transfer policy is clearly stated and applied evenly, without exception.

How do I transfer my entry to someone else?

To transfer an entry to someone else, the initial registrant goes to myevents.active.com and logs in using their active.com account, finds the registration they wish to transfer and clicks the link ‘Transfer the registration to another athlete’, and then follows the necessary steps. Please note: the receiving athlete will need to pay for the entry fee at the current rate in order for the transfer to process, then the original athlete will be refunded their entry fee less the $25.00 transfer fee.

How do I add a shuttle?

Login to your Active account through the link in your confirmation email or through myevents.active.com. Once logged in, access your MyEvents Portal through the drop down navigation menu found by holding the cursor over your name in the top right corner. All transportation bookings can be made under the “merchandise” tab.

Can someone pick up my bib as I can’t make check-in?

If you can’t make athlete check in, someone else can pick up your race bib and pack for you. You just need to give them a picture or copy of your photo id and then your confirmation email.

Will I receive my race bib in the mail?

If you entered prior to 31st July and are a current NZ resident, your bib will be posted out. Everyone else will need to collect their race bib from athlete check in. If you received a bib in the mail, you will still need to come to athlete check-in to collect your race bag.

How do I transfer down/up in race distance?

To complete the transfer process please log in to your My Events Portal and select Change Event Category. There is also a link to your MyEvents portal within your confirmation email. You cannot transfer to a distance that is sold out. As per the entry/transfer policy, there is a $25 transfer fee.
